We all know that one of the most expensive parts of a home makeover is the kitchen. But what if you could give your kitchen a whole new look on a budget?
The cabinets of this kitchen were in need of replacing, but I opted to revamp them with paint instead. Such a money saver! Firstly I cleaned all cabinets really thoroughly with methylated spirit as it is important to remove any grease build up that can happen over the years from cooking (yes, I also love cooking!).
All hardware was removed. There was no need for priming or sanding. From memory it only needed two coats of French Blue chalk furniture paint and a touch up here and there and then was sealed with Clear Top Coat.

I only used 1 and half tins of paint in total.

New white handles from Bunnings were used to help compliment the blue.

I also used New White on the hutch to help match the look of the kitchen, and replaced the backsplash tiles to complement the colour of the kitchen.

I am certainly happy with the final results. What do you think?
