It's such a joy when we can minimise our waste through a creative process. When I came across this old mirror, I thought to bring it back to life giving it a fresh new contemporary shabby chic look! Too much of a burden? Not at all! I turned this old piece into a little treasure just in a few steps!

The vintage mirror was painted cleaned with methylated spirit, taped around the mirror edge to protect it then painted with French Linen using the round 25mm brush.

A sample pot size is enough to do this size mirror. Then I applied our Blake & Taylor White Wax with our 25mm round brush to pick out the carving detail.

Then the frame was buffed with a soft lint free cloth and the tape removed.

I am very happy with the final results. What do you think?
