Blue Nest Blooms is a mid-sized transfer featuring a stunning flowing collection of deep indigo peonies, delicate bluebells, climbing vines, and songbirds. This blue-on-blue palette is balanced by earthy sage and forest green foliage.
Size & Versatility
This set includes three sheets 21.5 cm x 27.9 cm (8.5" x 11" each), making it a "Middy" size—perfect for medium-scale projects.
The Statement Dresser: Use all three sheets to create a flowing garden scene across multiple drawers.
Home Accents: The modular nature of the vines and bird makes it easy to cut and apply individual elements to trays, jewellery boxes, or even wall art.
Convenience: The 8.5" x 11" format is incredibly easy to handle, allowing for precise placement on smaller panels and recessed areas.

What You Will Need
What You Will Need
Redesign with Prima Transfer Tool or applicator stick. You will also need a suitable water-based sealer or clear wax.
Surface Preparation
Surface Preparation
Wax
If your surface has wax on it, the transfer may not adhere. You will need to remove wax with mineral spirits or similar products prior to applying the transfer.
However, if the wax has cured for more than 30 days and is perfectly clean and dry, then you can apply the transfer over the cured wax.
Painted & Stained Surfaces
If you are applying the transfer to a newly painted or stained surface, it must be fully dry before you apply the transfer. To be safe, we recommend waiting 12-24 hours after you paint or stain before you apply a transfer.
Proper prep work before painting is required or the transfer may pull your paint up. We recommend scuff sanding, and priming if necessary, before painting and transferring for optimal adhesion.
Be sure to remove any dust or sanding dust from your project prior to applying your transfer. Any dust on the surface will make it difficult for your transfer to apply smoothly
Be sure Decor Transfers are not being applied onto peeled paint, chips or old varnish that can be easily scratched off.
Glass & Mirror
When applying to glass or mirrors, do not use any chemicals or harsh cleaners as this may affect the application process of the transfer.
Shiny Surfaces
If the surface is too slick, the transfer may pull up from the surface or not transfer onto the surface properly. We recommend lightly scuff-sanding, when possible, to ensure the transfer has something to adhere to.
Applying Your Transfer
Applying Your Transfer
- Do not apply a transfer in a windy or breezy area
- Transfers work best at room temperature.
- Transfers can be cut into smaller sections for easier application.
- Take care when unrolling the transfer sheets as they may roll up, separate from the backing paper, and/or stick to itself.
- If the transfer sticks to itself, that portion will not be salvageable. If you are cautious, you can avoid this issue.
- Rolling the sheets in the opposite direction for a moment will help the transfer to lay flat.
- Avoid touching the sticky side of the clear acetate sheet
Sealing/Protecting The Transfer
Sealing/Protecting The Transfer
Once you have applied the transfer, follow these tips to seal and protect your transfer:
- Certain topcoats should not be used over transfers as they may harden and/or damage the transfer
- The safest products to use to protect your transfer are a furniture wax or water-based polyurethane. Both Blake & Taylor Wax and Clear Top Coat are suitable
- If choosing to seal with wax, apply wax after applying the transfer, not before.
